Re: dead tribe
Sun, November 18, 2007 - 3:00 PMI suppose if it's on Salt Spring (or West coast BC) it's the moss growing you hear...
I joined this tribe recently --and yeah... it's quite inactive.
Too bad.... I'd love to hear more about life on Salt Spring. -

Re: dead tribe
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 12:04 AMyeah but the victoria tribe goes all year round and the market closing really isn't an excuse to stop communication flowing.
Terry...I grew up on Salt Spring but live in Victoria now. Any questions, ask away! -

Re: dead tribe
Sun, December 2, 2007 - 9:18 AMI don't think Jahla was trying to find excuses. Just explanations. And if people have nothing to say for a while, that's fine. If you have interesting topics to discuss here, then post them and most likely, people will come by and participate. Can,t always wait for others to do things...
I hope all is well on SSI. Wish I was there a lot of the time.
Blessings

Re: dead tribe
Sun, December 2, 2007 - 11:36 AMYes and sometimes people do put ideas and comments out there and no one responds. ever.
I don't think that just because people have differences of opinion we should all get up in arms about it.
There's no need to feel threatened just because not everyone is agreeing with you.
she had a point. i had a point. it's not such a big deal really. -

This is the maximum depth. Additional responses will not be threaded.

Re: dead tribe
Mon, December 3, 2007 - 7:58 PMOK!
I've often had the hankering to move to SS...
but I've wondered if it feels rather isolated from the culture of the city (could be a plus or a minus, depending on the mood or events missed)
What's "happening" on SS? music --theatre --open mike --poetry --art (I know THAT is plentiful on SS!)
What do you feel you miss by not living on the mainland?
I think I know most of the pluses (I have several friends on SS)
--and they really do have me leaning toward living there someday.
How hard do you feel it is to leave the island?
That's all the questions for today!
Thanks...

Wed, December 5, 2007 - 3:29 PMOh, I was not making a big deal out of anything. Just expressing MY opinion. ;o)
It sure did wake up the tribe and I am all for that.
